Woodside, the home to Melba's Chocolate Factory, has a history dating back to the late 19th century, when many of Adelaide's wealthiest residents discovered that the Adelaide Hills provided the perfect cool retreat from Adelaide's hot summers.
Nowadays the area is home to many major attractions. Along with Melba's Chocolate Factory, the area is home to the Birdwood National Motor Museum, Adelaide Hills Markets and a range of exquisite wineries.
