If you visited Melba’s Chocolate Factory, do not hesitate to add your review too – we would love to hear from you.
The Melba’s Chocolate Factory was an unexpected stop along our day trail from Adelaide to Hahndorf. There is a huge variety of high-quality chocolate goods here and prices are reasonable. Some observation areas allow visitors to see the chocolates being made. Staff are friendly and willing to answer questions without hesitation. This is really worth stopping for.

If you’ve got children with you or imagine you have children, this place is worth a visit. A short (30 minutes) scenic drive through the Adelaide Hills brings you to the old Woodside cheese factory which has been converted into a Chocolate and Lolly Factory. Watch the kids faces as they first view a factory floor stocked with every Australian style sweet available. View the handy work of the friendly employees who craft the chocolate etc. in front of you. Help yourselves to FREE samples at each viewing. Purchases can be made on site and there is a historical equipment display throughout. Sneak next door and checkout the large varieties of special cheeses from the area. Free tastings of Brie to Cheddars. Its nice to know what you don’t or do like before purchase. Get something to go with that wine that South Australia is renown for.

We stopped in randomly while doing a scenic drive, it was a pleasant surprise on the route. Large variety of chocolates and confectionery. You can watch them making some things depending on the day you’re there. Well worth a visit if you like chocolate or lollies!
