There’s nothing better than a warm cup of coffee to sooth those aching bones. And the best part is, there’s a tonne of eclectic, amazing coffee destinations to hit up on your journey through this beautiful part of the world.
With this in mind, we’ve put together our top list of places to check out when you’re weaving your way through these picturesque country towns.
1. Caffiend Coffee Company in Hahndorf
A new addition along the Main Street of Hahndorf, Caffiend has quickly earned itself quite the reputation, as one of the best coffee spots in the Adelaide Hills. With all their beans roasted in-house, and coupled with some amazing, sensation breakfast options – could you want anything else?
2. FRED Eatery in Aldgate
Escape the craziness of Stirling, and follow the winding road to the picturesque town of Aldgate. Situated in the centre of this gorgeous township is FRED Eatery, it combines our love for amazing, local food with delicious coffee. With a friendly team serving lovely ambience and even better selection of breakfast and smoothies, FRED’s is hard to go past when you’ve got a rumbling tummy.
3. Patch Kitchen & Garden in Stirling
Nestled on the way to Aldgate, Patch Kitchen & Garden is a hidden gem. A quiet space to sit, with child-friendly spaces, Patch boasts a massive breakfast, lunch and dinner menu; with something for everyone. With an ever-changing menu, delicious food and great garden space at the back, this eatery is your next favourite destination for a Sunday brunch. And the best part is, they make an incredibe coffee – what more could you want?
4. Sazon Espresso in Mount Barker
A little longer on the freeway and you’ll find yourself in Mount Barker, home of the famous Sazon Espresso destination. A hills icon, Sazon has become a household name thanks to their consistently spot-on coffees, amazing selection of Mexican food options and popular ambience. You wouldn’t be considered a local if you haven’t waited in line for half an hour on a Sunday to score one of those mouthwatering Hot Chocolates.
5. Cellars & Patisserie in Stirling
This icon combines the best of everything: freshly baked pastries, great coffee and a cellar. Boasting some incredible local wines, delicious bespoke-type desserts and friendly staff, this Cellars and Patisserie is a favourite amongst our Melba’s team and definitely worth a visit on your way through.
